Founded in 1804, Kazan Federal University is one of Russia’s oldest universities. Kazan itself is frequently named the most comfortable large city in Russia for international students: living costs are roughly 40% lower than in Moscow.
The city’s large Muslim community, halal food infrastructure and central mosque make everyday life notably easier for students from Bangladesh.
